My Rover bellhousing is no longer on back-order - order complete. Should have it this week. Pic below of the automatic version of the D&D Fabrications four-speed one I'm getting.
As a side note, the very first GIS result for "of happenings" is Oppo. We terrify me.

I'm thinking it's because google knows that you visit oppo. Scratch that. I just visited in incognito mode, oppo is still the first result.

We are mighty in our car Sperglordity.

PARTS! Just knowing they are on the way is like 50% of the fun.

The best part is that the trans and bellhousing don't weigh much together, so I can make a fake engine out of 2x4 and attach it to both, then plan/fit accordingly.
Firewall, I'ma cut choo.

What is said engine then? 2x4 engines get lousy mileage
![]() 05/12/2014 at 16:40 |

Said engine is a Rover 4.2, which, while light, I can't pick up by myself with a trans attached. Being able to fit things/modify things without having to resort to a lift the whole time is a *good* thing.

but why are you cutting the firewall?
![]() 05/12/2014 at 16:51 |

Because there is extra space, and I want it. MID ENGINE UEBER ALLES.
Put more cogently, even with a heavier rear axle, it's still a slightly-over-a-ton pickup. With weenie front suspension. Even with the V8 weighing only as much as the six, it needs all the help it can get.
Also, CORNERING, BRAH and LAUNCH, BRAH

Holy Fucknuts! Google has no results for that word. You've invented a word that Google has no results for!

Yet.

Lol, let me help your cause: Sperglordity.
Sperglord does have results, it's adding -ity that does it.
![]() 05/12/2014 at 17:09 |

Sperglordity: the status of being, or possessing attributes of, a sperglord.

I think you've very accurately described sperglordity there. People should really start picking up on that sperglordity-word now. Perhaps some splerglord's will use splegordity to point out another sperglord's sperglordity. NFL Draft, America, Legalize, Manchester United, Nascar, Dubstep Remix. (Just making sure it get's associated with some highly searched keywords).

Now Google even knows a common misspelling is "splegordity".

Oh my! I can't believe I spelled sperglordity incorrectly as splerglordity, I mean splegordity.
In this case google would, condescendingly, say: "did you mean sperglordity ?"

Oppo is also the second AND fifth results when you GIS 'of happenings'

Awww yis, can't wait for the photos.

I unfortunately used to work on these a lot. Check out www.thewedgeshop.com for some go fast things. And cosmetic head gaskets with ARP studs, that is about as close to bullet proof as you can make this old Buick lump.

Yep, I'm familiar with thewedgeshop. Definitely going to use ARP studs, and since I have the A36 block (but un-crossdrilled), I'm going to crossbolt the bottom end.. Piston improvements, better timing chain, harder cam, and with the cam locating improvements on the A36, I should be able to make it pretty rugged.
